What Types of Tree Survey Are Available in Old Aberdeen?
Old Aberdeen tree surveys come in three types: Tree Condition Reports for general health assessment, Mortgage Tree Reports for lender conditions, and BS5837 surveys for planning applications.
Tree Condition Reports (TCR)
A Tree Condition Report assesses the health, structure and safety of an individual tree or group. Homeowners, landlords and property managers commission one to check for disease, decay or hazard.
Mortgage Tree Reports (MTR)
A Mortgage Tree Report becomes required when a lender's valuer flags trees near the property during the mortgage application. The report satisfies the tree-related conditions set by major UK lenders before completion.
BS5837 Tree Surveys
A BS5837 survey categorises every tree on site into one of four grades and sets root protection areas. It produces a tree constraints plan required by Aberdeen City Council for planning applications.
